The closure of makerere university is not binding to any as it was done by the chairman of the university council not the university council however today at 2:00pm the university council is going to meet with the students guild so folks dont give up see more....

Related story...                                                                                                                                                                 In the middle of delivering our petition to the speaker at parliament, i got a 4ne call 4rm one of the student leaders dat the university had been closed this was confirmed by call made to the V.C. We impatiently finished delivering our petition and we were rushed back 2 campus in police trucks. We headed 2 the freedom square to address students who were of course fully charged. with ofcourse  objection 4rm the usual chaotic police we peacefully but forcefully found our way to the freedom square. We objected wat the chairman university council had decided and there4 we decided to go and face face him.
A group of 20 student leaders met the chairman university council, V.C and the U.S and the chairman revisited his early communication and decided dat:
a) Students shd sleep in their rooms until 2mrw since it was very late 4 them 2 travel
b) Students were 2 be given free means of transport 2 their respective homes
c) Guild ministers, international students and disabled students were allowed 2 kp behind but in only 2 halls namely Stone and Africa.
We left the meeting with a plan of calling 4 a general Assembly 2dein the morning but By 7;30pm yesteday, students esp girls were being chased 4rm halls by both police and hall wardens. It was late in the evening and we could not help much since most of the hall wardens were saying dat they had nt got any written communication 4rm the university authorities telling them 2 allow students 2 sleep around. So the possibility of a general assembly is impossible bt we shall probably have a GRC session, Guild cabinet meeting and university council meeting at 2;00pm.
SO GALLANT INTERLLECTUALLS, LADIES AND GENTLE MEN, IT IS NOT OVER YET. 'NO MAN SHD LIVE UNDER THE CHAINS OF ANOTHER MAN'.
